Limited summer dates available.
If your dog loses their brain the second agility appears, you already know how frustrating it is. The barking. The screaming. The spinning. The lunging at dogs. The inability to focus. The dog that can work beautifully at home then turns into a completely different animal at training or shows.
Most handlers end up stuck in a cycle of managing the behaviour, avoiding situations, or constantly trying random exercises without really knowing what your dog needs.
These workshops focus on the underlying behaviour causing the problem so you leave knowing exactly what to train, how to progress it, and what needs to change moving forward.
The first half of the workshop focuses on individual work with each dog and handler team. This is where we start identifying what is actually driving the behaviour and introducing the right exercises for your dog.
Once each team has started working individually, we move into group training so handlers can start practising around movement, dogs, equipment, waiting around, and the kind of situations that usually cause problems at training or shows.
This is where handlers start seeing why the behaviour keeps happening and what needs to change. Instead of training behaviours in a quiet field and hoping they transfer later, you start learning how to work through the actual situations your dog struggles with.
Common issues covered include:
barking and screaming around agility
queueing behaviour
overarousal
startlines
watching other dogs
frustration around movement
inability to focus
dogs that struggle to settle between runs
dogs that train well at home but fall apart at shows
These are workshops organised by me at selected venues during the summer.
Each session runs for 2 hours with up to 6 handlers. The workshops combine one to one coaching and group training so every dog gets individual attention while still practising in a realistic agility environment.
£50 for members
£55 for non-members
