Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing or using any of our services. By accessing this website or purchasing any product or programme, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.

1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms apply:

  • "You", "Your", "Client" and "Customer" refers to the person accessing this website and/or purchasing our services.

  • "We", "Us", "Our" and "Company" refers to Erica van Manen, trading as Erica van Manen Dog Training.

  • "Website" refers to www.ericavanmanen.com.

  • "Services" or "Products" refers to any programme, membership, training plan, feedback day, WhatsApp coaching, or other online service offered through this website.

2. ABOUT OUR SERVICES

We offer a range of online dog training and behaviour coaching services for pet dog owners and agility handlers. These currently include:

  • Membership — ongoing access to training resources, support, and content.

  • Training plans — written plans for your dog.

  • Feedback days — structured video or written feedback sessions for members.

  • WhatsApp coaching blocks — direct coaching support delivered via WhatsApp.

  • Other online programmes and resources, as described on the website at the time of purchase.

We may update, adjust, or add to our service offering at any time. Details of what is included in each service are set out on the relevant sales page at the time of purchase.

We may engage third-party service providers to support delivery of our services where needed.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By purchasing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. PURCHASING AND PAYMENT

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any additional local taxes that may apply in your country of residence.

Payment is processed securely via our third-party payment providers. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms and conditions of those payment providers. We accept payment by credit or debit card and any other methods displayed at checkout.

We reserve the right to update our prices at any time. Any price changes will not affect purchases already made.

Access to paid services will be granted once payment has been confirmed. We reserve the right to withdraw access where payment has not been received or is subsequently reversed.

5. THE 30-DAY CONFIDENCE GUARANTEE

We stand behind what we offer. If you purchase one of our programmes or coaching services and genuinely engage with the content for 30 days - apply the exercises, work the plan, show up for your dog - and you do not feel more confident in your understanding of your dog's behaviour and what to do about it, email us within 30 days of purchase and every penny comes back to you.

To request a refund under this guarantee, please contact us at ericavanmanen@outlook.com within 30 days of your purchase date. Refunds will be returned to your original payment method.

This guarantee applies to training plans only. Membership subscriptions, feedback days and coaching are excluded.

6. MEMBERSHIP TERMS

Membership is offered on a rolling monthly basis. Your membership will renew automatically each month until you cancel.

Membership payments are non-refundable. By purchasing a membership, you acknowledge that you are purchasing immediate access to digital content and that your right to a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is waived upon accessing the membership content. This does not affect your statutory rights where we are in breach of contract or have provided a service that is not as described.

You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then and will not be charged again.

We reserve the right to change membership pricing. We will give you at least 30 days' written notice of any price increase. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website and within our programmes — including training plans, videos, written materials, exercises, frameworks, and any other resources — is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright.

When you purchase a service, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own use. You may not reproduce, share, sell, redistribute, or otherwise exploit any of our content without our express written permission.

You may not share your login details or programme access with any third party.

8. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND OUR DISCLAIMER

Dog training involves working with live animals. While we take care to provide responsible, evidence-based guidance, you are solely responsible for the safety and welfare of your dog and any people involved in your training sessions.

Results vary between dogs and handlers. We do not guarantee specific training outcomes. What we offer is professional guidance based on our experience and the information you provide — we cannot account for every individual circumstance.

We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from how you apply the guidance provided through our services, whether to your dog, yourself, or any third party.

Our content is provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. We do not warrant that it is error-free, complete, or suitable for every situation.

In all cases, our liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid for the service in question.

9. PRIVACY

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. We collect and use your personal information only to deliver our services, communicate with you about your purchase, and (where you have opted in) to let you know about other services that may be relevant to you.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email we send.

10. SUPPORT

If you have a question or experience a difficulty with any of our services, please get in touch at ericavanmanen@outlook.com and we will do our best to help.

We are not responsible for issues relating to your own internet connection, device, or technical setup.

11. ACCEPTABLE USE

By using our website and services, you agree not to:

  • Share, sell, or distribute our content to any third party.

  • Use our services in any way that is unlawful or harmful.

  • Interfere with the operation of our website or services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services at any time if we believe these terms have been breached. Where we do this without cause, we will refund any amounts paid for services not yet delivered.

14. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If our services do not meet these standards, you may be entitled to a remedy.

If you are a consumer based in the UK, you also have the right to refer unresolved disputes to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. Details of approved ADR schemes are available from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute at www.tradingstandards.uk.

These Terms do not limit or exclude any rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
